You gotta check this out!

Hey M Girls,

It's M intern Jen here giving you an exclusive look at my chat with singer, Thomas Fiss! Thomas is an emerging pop artist who has a new single called "Let Go" -- which we're totally loving!

After recording several EPs, his full-length album is scheduled to release in the early fall! He's also been super busy promoting his catchy single and doing multiple shows -- he recently opened for Austin Mahone, too! How awesome is that?!

Want to know more about Thomas? Check out part of our interview where he talks about his new single, the song he is currently obsessed with (you'll never guess what!) and he even gives YOU tips on how to pursue a career in singing.

M: Tell us a little bit about "Let Go" and your inspiration behind it?
Thomas: Yeah so "Let Go," it's just a fun, carefree song. It's basically just about just saying yes when you probably could say no and just kind of doing things out of the ordinary. The inspiration definitely comes from a relationship and yeah just being positive and having fun.

M: How would you describe your personal musical sound?
Thomas: It's live instrumentations. It's kind of pop/rock with some alternative feel there -- like a newer Coldplay. That's a good way to describe it.

M: Do you ever get nervous when you perform?
Thomas: Yeah, I think that if you don't get nervous there is something wrong with you. I think that nerves are a good thing. I get a little bit. I don't get nauseous or anything - it's not like obnoxious. Just a little bit - it keeps me on edge!

M: What song are you currently obsessed with?
Thomas: I was just saying before it's, "Call Me Maybe." Like I don't want to say it but her voice just sounds so cute on that song. I love it! Guilty pleasure. (laughs)

M: What advice would you give our readers who want to get into singing but don't know where to start?
Thomas: Look at your school, see if they have any music programs. If they don't, look in your community and see if there is any music programs and just dedicate yourself to it if that's what you really want to do. I think the rest should follow and look at outlets -- YouTube is obviously a great place to start, Facebook and Twitter has just allowed so many groups and bands and people and kids to put their music out there. Whether art or if you're a photographer or dancer. Yeah just do that.

Check out this video of an acoustic performance of Thomas' cool tune, "Let Go!"

Make sure you check out the official music video of this awesome song!

So let's dish?

Hot New Artist: Claudia Lee visits the M office!

ClaudiaLee_HereRightNow.jpeg
Hey M Girls!

Up-and-coming country cutie, Claudia Lee, came by for a fun hang sesh in the M offices recently! The bubbly blonde singer/actress chatted with us about everything from her new country album to her role on the CW's Hart of Dixie -- she's a total double threat!

Check out part of our Q&A sesh with Claudia here:

M: Hey Claudia! So, can you tell us all about your debut album, "Here Right Now"?

Claudia: Sure! I have 12 songs on the album, 5 of them I wrote, which is so cool. I've been working on this album for over a year and a half now, so it's something that really means a lot to me. I am just very excited that everyone's going to finally be able to hear it because it's a lot of great energy -- a lot of great work. I just can't wait for people to hear my sound and my style!

M: Wow, you write your own music?! Where do you get your inspiration?

Claudia: My inspiration for songs would have to be things that I see people and my friends go through in life or that I see myself go through. Life is a great learning experience, and a lot of girls and teens out there -- we're growing up, we learn things, we have coming of age moments. I write songs based on things that happen in life or things that I see my friends go through. One of my songs on my album is about my dear friend and a really personal struggle that she had to go through, and it's a beautiful song.

M: Sounds incredible, Claudia. So, as a blonde country gal who writes her own tunes, you probably get tons of Taylor Swift comparisons. Are you a fan of hers?

Claudia: She is just really awesome. I give her a huge round of applause 'cause she is fabulous. She's writing music for teens, she's being an inspiration, she's being a role model. She's a good girl, she doesn't have anything bad about her in the tabloids and I'm really proud of her. I love her music and I love what she writes about, so she's someone I look up to.

M: 'Fess up time: Who are your celeb crushes?

Claudia: I really like One Direction! They're awesome. First of all, they have accents. Second of all, they all are very talented -- they all can sing. I think Harry is really cute, and I love his accent. I think the whole band is really awesome.

LOL -- we're totally crushin' on them too, girl! Claudia's debut album, "Here Right Now" was just released today. Make sure to check this talented chica out!
