Hey M Girls!
Prom season is fast approaching--and what better way to prep for the occasion than with a fashion show?! We got the chance to attend PROMGIRL's first-ever fashion show in NYC, and we're dishing all the deets!
Here are our fave highlights from event!
CANDY
From cotton candy to cake pops, there were loads of great prom treats at the event. Our personal fave--a totally glam candy bar!
PROM ACTIVITIES
One of the coolest things for attendees to do was to get their face drawn into a prom dress photo-- perf to help decide which dress is right for you!
No prom would be complete without a photo booth, which had tons of fab props, like feather boas and crowns!
MUSIC
The entire night was DJed by rockin' duo The Jane Doze. The ladies mixed tunes by Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, Beyonce, and so many more to keep guest jamming all night!
Right before the show started, country cutie Payton Rae rocked the catwalk with her fun tune "Not Your Cinderella" and the emotional song "Dare to Live"-- she totes set the mood for the show!
THE FASHION SHOW
The main event! There were so many great dresses on the catwalk, we could hardly pick a fave! A couple trends we noticed--ruffles, neons, sequins, pinks, and puppies!

A month ago we spilled the beans that 1D would be on Glee -- sort of! Well, it's finally here, Glee's take on One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" has been released early, and we can't get enough of it!
Glee Project winners Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty, Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet, and Harry Shum, Jr. sing the song at the McKinley High prom. They sound great!

The episode is set to air on Thursday, May 10 at 8pm and will also feature a cover of Selena Gomez's "Love You Like A Love Song" -- we can't wait!

Even though he won American Idol last year and has toured with Brad Paisley, country singer Scotty's just a normal high school student back home in North Carolina, and he even recently went to prom!
Scotty tweeted the pic and wrote, "Prom 2012!"
How adorable does Scotty look in his tux?!

Hey M Girls!
We already know what a sweetie Taylor Swift is, and this just proves it more! Taylor has recently reached out to Kevin McGuire, a New Jersey high school student who is suffering from cancer, and invited him as her date to the ACMs after Kevin's family had started a Facebook campaign just last week asking Taylor to go to prom with Kevin.
You see, Kevin's family started a Facebook page titled "Taylor Swift Take Kevin McGuire to Prom" since Kevin is a huge fan of Tay, and it got a ton of attention and fans. Then, on Friday, Taylor posted on her own Facebook page: "Kevin, I'm so sorry but I won't be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up... Would you be my date? Love, Taylor."
Kevin has accepted her invite, and is hoping to make the awards show April 1 in Las Vegas, if his treatment allows. He's currently at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
On their Facebook page, the McGuire family wrote: "Taylor got back to us!!!! She is unable to attend Kevin's prom, although did one better- Invited Kevin to be her date to the Academy of Country Music Awards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so so so so so much! The McGuire family could never show how grateful we are to all of you! We have won in more than one way.. we got Taylor to take Kevin on a date, and we have made so many good friends along the way!"
Wow -- that is so thoughtful of Tay. We hope Kevin is able to make it the ACMs with her!

Hey M Girls-
Disney's Prom is out this weekend and we were lucky enough to chat with two of the flick's main cuties, Thomas McDonell and Nolan Sotillo, about all things dance related. First, we asked Nolan if he prefers going to dances with a group or with a solo date. He told us:
"To a school dance, I like going with my friends. But if it's a prom or homecoming, I would definitely enjoy going with a date."
When it comes to finding that special person to go to the dance with, Thomas (who plays mysterious outsider, Jesse, in the flick) told M:
"A prom date usually is best if they're the person you want to be spending a lot of time with. It's no good to be stuck at a prom with someone you don't really hang with!
