Have you seen Lauren Conrad's new pet pooch, Fitz? He's super cute.
"After Atlanta, I got to come home for a couple days...and what did I do? I went to an animal shelter 'just to look.' And we all know it never ends that way," Lauren shared.
FYI: Lauren named her new pup Fitz after F. Scott Fitzgerald, who is the author of her favorite book, "The Great Gatsby." What great idea!

I've been a HUGE fan of Lauren Conrad since she the days she was known as "LC" on Laguna Beach! Lauren's been crazy busy since leaving The Hills -- besides her clothing line at Kohl's, she also just released two separate books on Tuesday -- Sugar and Spice, the third novel to her fictional series, and Style, a fashion do and don't guide.
But Lauren took time out of busy schedule to chat with M and we had a blast! So what was it like to work on two books at one time? "It wasn't easy!" Lauren laughs when I met her yesterday at Bookends bookstore in Ridgewood, NJ, where fans were lined up outside waiting to meet her at the book signing. "It was definitely hard to switch the writing back and forth, but I just got used to it." So what can fans expect from the new Sugar and Spice book, especially when it comes to Jane's up and down love life? "Jane is uncertain about love," Lauren explains. And what about Braden? "Braden's the guy who is emotionally unavailable, and that's something all girls can relate to," Lauren tells us. "Jane has a lot on her hands!"
While Lauren touched up her makeup before her signing, she dished to us so much more -- what she thinks of Justin Bieber ("I love his hair!" she gushed), her first kiss confession, and her advice for dealing with a BFF break-up. Besides her books, don't forget that Lauren also recently announced that she'll be starring in a new reality show on MTV about starting her clothing line up (no, no personal life filming this time around!). "I'm really excited," Lauren spills. "I think it'll be nice to be back!" We agree!

Hey M Girls!
So Lauren Conrad just confirmed that she is doing a new reality show! We are so excited about this since we haven't seen Lauren since she left The Hills in 2009. Lauren confirmed this morning in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that the her new show will air on MTV but didn't give many details. "It'll be something different," she told Ryan on KIIS-FM radio show.
We do know that this reality show won't be following her fashion designing career. "I've always been open to doing reality again," she said. "Just under different circumstances. As long as you have a separation, then it works. You have your personal life and you have work life; when it's combined, it's difficult." We can't wait to hear what kind of reality show Lauren will be doing this time! We love everything she does.

"I think that whenever you get a boyfriend or girlfriend it's about balancing time with them and your friends. I think every time you get a boyfriend or girlfriend, you want to be with that person all the time because you really care about them. So sometimes you have to understand that and give them their space. It's up to your guy friend in the relationship to make time for you as his friend. It's not something you can make him do. If you mean a lot to him, he'll come around!"

Hey M girls,
We love summer because of all the adorable sundresses you can wear! Our faves are the kind that work for both day and night, like Jordan and Lauren's. Although the color in Jordan's dress pops much more than Lauren's, we don't like the way Jordan paired her dress with pants. Plus, Lauren's open-toe peeps look better with a sundress! Do you ever feel confused about what makeup products work best for YOU? Or even how to apply some of them?!?! We're here to help! Check out these fab makeup tricks that will let your natural beauty glow!
Foundation: Used to cover blemishes and balance skin tones, but sometimes girls tend to get carried away and end up caking it on. Remember, most of you already have beautiful skin...don't wear it if there's nothing to fix! (If you need to, use a powder to lightly dust your face.)
Eye Shadow: Browns, purples, golds and greens look great on everyone, and light glitter and shimmer make your eyes pop. But, def remember that a little goes a long way, and if you plan on getting funky, keep the rest of the makeup on your face light. (Too much and you may look like a clown!)
Eyeliner: Makes your eyes appear bigger, but keep it light and right above the lash line. (Applying it on the wet part of the eyelid can lead to infection!)
Mascara: A great way to make you look more awake! Take the time to apply carefully and use no more than two coats. (Too much mascara causes clumping and that never looks good!)
Gloss: Have fun with it! Try different shades, but don't use too much at a time! (Too much gloss is distracting... ew!)
Rule of thumb: Less is more. Makeup always looks best when it doesn't look like you're wearing any at all!

Hey M girls!
You've seen Lauren Conrad sport the side braid lotsa times, and now this summer hairstyle is popping up everywhere! The braid is a great way to keep hair off your face while still looking super-cute. Instead of throwing on a headband, try this easy fad!
Step one: Make a part in your hair on either the right side or left side of your face. On the side you want your braid to go, separate hair into three sections at your roots.
Step two: Braid the hair the way you normally would, alternating bringing the right and left pieces into the middle. Work any pieces that fall on your face into the side braid.
Step three: Don't braid the whole thing. Make the braid long enough to pull your hair out of your face. From here, you can hold the braid together with a pin!
