Hey M Girls,

When Olympic gymnast and all-around women's champion Gabby Douglas won her gold medal, she thought people would be celebrating her success, so imagine her disappointment when peeps started commenting on her hair style! So, when Gabby was feeling super-bummed, where did she turn? Selena Gomez!

That's right, in a recent interview, Gabby revealed how she stays strong: "Focus on the positive stuff. Short, long, curly, bald, blonde -- it's really no different. You're beautiful inside and out, just like the Selena Gomez song, 'Who Says?'"

When Selena saw it, she wrote to Gabby immediately saying: @gabrielledoug I am so honored that "Who Says" inspired a quote from you. I can't imagine the hard work and determination it must take to win not 1 but 2 gold medals, that's what it's all about. CONGRATS!!!!

Aww, such sweet support!

Let's dish:
-What do you think of Sel and Gabby's sweet interaction? Does Selena's tune inspire you?

M Exclusive: Q&A with Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas

Check out our exclusive Q&A with the Olympic gymnast!

Hey M Girls!

We recently got to sit down with 16-year-old Olympic gymnast, Gabby Douglas, and talk about how far she has come. She's totally an inspiration to us -- we can't wait to watch her on our TVs this weekend! Check out our exclusive Q&A:

M: When did you start getting into gymnastics?
Gabby: I started when I was about 6 years old. I got into it by my older sister named Arielle. She was doing cartwheels and flipping and I kind of wanted to do the same stuff and she taught me. By the end of the week, I was teaching myself to do one-hand cartwheels and the splits. My sister told my mom that she needed to put me in because everything looked so easy. My mom finally put me in so that's how I got started.

M: When did the first idea of the Olympics pop in your head?
Gabby: That was probably in 2004, when I was watching the Olympics on my TV in the living room. I was just seeing everyone doing what I was learning. Suddenly, my eyes just open and I was like, 'wow, I want to go there and I want to do what they're doing and everyone will be watching me' and I loved the thought of that idea.

M: Do you think about the Olympics everyday?
Gabby: Yeah, I do think about the Olympics but I try to not get so overwhelmed. I just take it one day at a time saying, 'okay, gym is today' or 'I have to focus on what I'm going to do for classics.' Then when classics are over, I got to focus on championships. Just kind of step myself back a little and not thinking too far ahead.

M: What are some of your favorite stores to shop in?
Gabby: I like Forever 21 and Aero and I love Bath & Body Works. l love all the different smells of lotions and perfumes and stuff!

Don't forget to check out Gabby's qualification match this Sunday at 9:30 AM on NBC!

Let's dish:
-Would you ever want to compete in the Olympics?
