From the start, 2012 was all about Selena Gomez's acting career -- and all of her hard work has finally paid off! Sel had one of the most magical nights of her life at the Venice Film Festival premiere of her flick Spring Breakers. After the event, she wrote to fans on Facebook:

"Tonight was one of the most amazing nights I've ever had. Our film got a standing ovation at the Venice film festival! I couldn't stop crying. Being apart of such an amazing project was such a blessing. From Wizards to tonight.. I'm truly so blessed. Im still in shock! I hope you guys enjoy Harmonys film making. He truly is amazing."

We are so proud of everything you've accomplished, Sel!

Sel is all done filming Spring Breakers and ready to work on her next big proj! As soon as she finished up on set, Selena raced to the salon for a big hair change -- she said buh bye to her shorter locks for a brand new super-long 'do. She tweeted the above photo and said: "Spring breakers is done now hairs done for the next movie! :)" Lookin' good, Sel!

We'll admit it -- seeing Selena, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens' photos from the Spring Breakers set is really putting us in a beachy mood! The girls are having the time of their lives together, and we love how close they all are. Just yesterday, Sel Tweeted this completely adorbs photo with Ash and wrote: Love from Benzo and Me :) Aww, BFF alert!

One thing that's really caught our eye are the ah-mazing sunglasses that Sel has been rocking on set -- they're so colorful!

A few weeks ago, we told how Selena Gomez was set to star alongside Emma Roberts and Vanessa Hudgens in the flick Spring Breakers, and it we've got more casting news! Unfortch, Emma had to recently drop out of the flick and she was replaced by Pretty Little Liars' Ashley Benson!

Filming is starting February 12 in Florida, but movie execs are still looking for the fourth girl to star. The plot is about four college girls who rob a restaurant in order to afford their trip to the beach for spring break, and James Franco is also cast.

It should be fun for Selena and Ash to film together -- they've grown closer and have even tweeted each other since hanging out -- Ashley is dating Ryan Good, Justin's former swag coach.

Selena Gomez is going to have a busy movie career! Not only is she signed on to film Hot Mess and 13 Reasons Why, but she's also in talks to star with Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Roberts, James Franco in a movie titled Spring Breakers.

According to sources, the story is about four college girls who rob a restaurant in order to afford their trip to the beach. It's reported that Emma would would play a Southern brunette who likes danger, while Selena would play a religious girl who isn't a thrill-seeker like the rest of the group, including Vanessa. Sounds interesting!
