I have a problem with a girl on my bus. We used to be friends but after a fight we had last year, she's been spreading rumors about me. Lately, she's been trying to talk to me but I just ignore her because I'm too scared to talk to her. What should I do?
And Kellie's answer is:
"School is really hard for girls. These are the most catty years of your life right now because girls are so competitive with each other. They want to be the prettiest, the most popular, and the one that all the boys love. I learned that sometimes being super kind to people is the best way of handling it. You can't sink down to their level because that's a sign of immaturity and you just have to grow out of that. Some people just want to pick a fight and if you nod back at them they end up realizing, 'You know, I'm not going to be able to get to her so I'm just going to leave her alone.'"
