Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Jonas' Chelsea spilling on how to find fame!
M Reader Simply_Zoe asked:
Okay, I want to be an actress but my parents have sent me to a posh private school to be a lawyer or someone in power....not a celebrity. Yes, I've talked to them about it before...What should I do? Ignore them? Or forget about my dreams.
And Chelsea's answer is:
"I did a lot of theater growing up and really, in that way, proved to my parents that I was passionate about the arts. I missed prom, football games and Halloweens for shows. When I hit freshman year of high school I really, really wanted to start auditioning for television and film and my parents were like, "Absolutely not, no way. We want you to go to school and college." But since I had shown them how passionate I was about this, they finally gave in."
Wow, Chelsea, that's great advice. It's natural for parents to be nervous about their kids becoming an actress, singer, etc -- it's a pretty unpredictable job for sure! But if you really want to follow that dream, sit your parents down to talk to them seriously about it. Chances are, they'll respect how mature you are for handling it that way, and want to support you even more!
