Hey M Girls!!

Earlier this year, Bruno Mars made high school student Emily Torres' wildest dream come true when he surprised her on The Ellen Show after she asked him to be her prom date via YouTube. And while he couldn't attend the big dance with Em, he wanted to make it up to her, so he hooked her up with a fab high-fashion Gucci gown!

So what's the dress look like? "It fits his tour theme!" Em gushed to us when we recently chatted with her. "Bruno's going on his Moonshine Jungle Tour, so I went with like a jungley-printed dress. It's form-fitting, black, and it has flowers all over it." How pretty!

And now that prom is over, Em has decided to sell her dress for charity.

"I'm deciding to end this Bruno Mars Gucci dress story on something so very positive," she says. "I have been so blessed by this gift and all the support I have gotten that I want to pass on the blessing to someone who is in great need of one. After prom, I'm going to have the dress auctioned and sold and all proceeds to go to Collin Vani, a teen battling cancer. :)"

That's so sweet. We love that Emily is doing this!

In just a few hours, the MTV VMAs are starting and we can't wait! Besides Katy Perry being nominated for the most moonmen awards (9 times!) and Justin up for "Best Male Video" for his song "U Smile", the night will be jam-packed with awesome performances from Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown (rumored that Justin Bieber will be joining him!) and tons others. Plus, Selena Gomez and J-Biebs will be sitting right next to each other as the awards show unfolds. (Psst-Sel's hosting the pre-show on MTV at 8 PM EST and there's also talk of Selena performing in a Britney Spears tribute during the awards show, but there's been no confirmation for sure yet).

Besides ALL that, Jennifer Lawrence will be hitting the stage to introduce the first-ever Hunger Games trailer and the M staff can't wait for that!

We've been waiting patiently for The Hunger Games, which hits theaters March 2012, but we just can't seem to get enough of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale! Thankfully, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss, will be introducing a brand-new never-before-seen clip of HG at this year's MTV Video Music Awards!

In addition to the clip, the VMAs will feature performances by Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Adele, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown! OMG so exciting!

The Video Music Awards will air this Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. EST on MTV! P.S. -- be sure to tune into MTV at 8 p.m. EST for the VMA pre-show hosted by one of our faves, Selena Gomez!

Justin Bieber's "Baby" is a huge favorite of ours over here at M -- and we're not alone! Recently, when Bruno Mars stopped by a Texas radio station to perform for some lucky listeners, he asked the audience for requests. Instead, a little girl shouted out, "I know your Justin Bieber!" LOL! After that, Bruno decided to sing Justin's smash single "Baby". Check out the awesome cover below!
