M Exclusive: We chat with Bailee Madison & Josh Rush about Parental Guidance

When we caught up with Bailee Madison and Joshua Rush, who play siblings in the new movie Parental Guidance, they spilled on-set secrets about their bloopers, favorite scenes to shoot, and the legendary actors they worked with! Check out our exclusive Q&A and don't miss this hilarious movie!

We're really excited about Parental Guidance! It looks like an adorable movie! What can you tell us about the movie?

Josh: The movie's about a grandpa who comes to visit his grandkids! I don't want to ruin it, but a lot of crazy stuff happens!

Bailee: Well Parental Guidance is basically about the new ways of parenting. My dad has to go away on a business trip/vacation and he wants to bring my mom along with him, so she has to call on her parents, and they have to come in and take care of us. It's a really great film full of love and family and friends and it's like the perfect holiday movie.

As the older sister, do you have to do any of the parenting?

Bailee: I do! I'm an uptight perfectionist for the movie. My grandparents come in and they can't control anything! They can't work the house, they can't drive the car, and they can't work the phones! I try to stay calm, run the house, and keep the house from burning down!

What was your favorite scene to shoot?

Josh: My favorite scene in the movie was definitely definitely a scene where we get cake all over us. I mean who wouldn't want to be covered in icing?! It was all in my hair - it was crazy!

Bailee: The Kick the Can scene! It's when we're all together - me, Billy, Bette, and my two younger brothers. We're playing Kick the Can and it starts to rain and it's the first time in the movie that you really see us together as a family. It was so much fun to get to film that scene and just get muddy and dance in the rain and play with Billy and Bette and everyone!

What was it like working with such an amazing group of actors?

Josh: Billy was a really awesome guy and I played catch with him. He was a fatherly figure to me on set.

Bailee: Such an honor! Getting to wake up on set every day and know that I'm going to a set that is so warm and so friendly and so loving and to be able to sit there and watch such legends do their craft, and not only watch them do their craft, but watch who they are as people and learn from them was such an unforgettable experience!

Did you have any goofy bloopers from filming?

Josh: There was one time where we had to be out of breath for a scene and to do that, Bette and Bailee and I had a little dance thing going and we didn't hear the director, Andy, say "action." So we're still going and he's like "ACTION!" We're like "oh, oh we have to go!" They got it all on film, that was the funniest part!

Bailee: I was two minutes away from going home and they turned around on my coverage, and of course the one time I mess up is on my coverage, but I knew had to get through the scene or else my coverage wasn't going to be done, so when I messed up, I was like "what's the line?!" The one blooper of me is all serious, like "what is the line?"

Since the movie takes place during the holidays, what's your favorite holiday memory?

On Christmas Day my family will go out for Chinese food. We're Jewish. I got an iPad on Hanukkah. It was awesome!

So was it fun getting to film a Christmas movie?

It was! We were filming around this time and we had a Christmas tree up in the schoolroom! We all decorated the tree and then, you know, Josh was Jewish, so we had everything for Josh too!

M Exclusive: Bailee Madison's LOL-worthy embarrassing moment!

A-bjHqwCAAA5gvy.jpg

Hey M Girls,

Get this -- the adorable Bailee Madison just left the M office (see her above with our whole staff!) and while she was here, she had to tell us about a super-funny embarrassing moment that happened right before she got here! You see, Ms. Madison was in NYC filming "The View" (a talk show with a bunch of hosts, including one named Joy!) Anyways, when Bailee was leaving she went to what she THOUGHT was the car picking her up to drive her to the M office. She heard the driver saying "Joy" and assumed he was just full of lots of holiday cheer, so she sang back "Joy to the World". It turns out... the car was actually meant for "The View" host Joy and NOT Bailee! Oops -- talk about funny!

Hey M Girls-

It's been a busy week here at M, what with all the excitement surrounding Justin's 3D movie. But there's another cool flick coming out this weekend, Just Go With It, starring Wizards of Waverly Place's newest star, Bailee Madison. Bailee stopped by our offices the other day and made this video for you M Girls. Click play to hear her dish on the super-special gift Sel gave her on her recent birthday:

And speaking of Selena, we HAD to ask Bailee what she thought of her co-star Sel and Justin hanging out. Bailee spilled to us:

"I met Justin when he came to the Wizards set. He seemed really nice!"

Hmmmm, so Justin's been hanging around the set of Wizards. Selena must mean a lot to him if he makes time to visit her in his busy schedule. Awww!

So let's dish: Are you going to see Just Go With It in the theater? What do you think about Justin visiting Selena on set?

Hey M girls!

Earlier this week, Bailee Madison celebrated her 11th birthday with her new Wizards of Waverly Place costars on set!

The cast definitely made her feel welcome --she received TWO cakes at the party: a cupcake-made cake with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes shaped like a lollipop, and a Sweet Cream Cold Stone Creamery cake with Oreos mixed in!

Sounds sweet -- just like her new role on the hit show's fourth season! We can't wait to watch her character join the rest of the cast -- she plays a wizard named Maxine!

Let's dish:
- Are you excited for Bailee to join the cast? Will you watch the new season of Wizards premiering Nov. 12? What would your perfect birthday cake taste like?
